The south-west of France is known as the region of the Cathares. Famous castles are: Montségur, Roquefixade, Pylaurens, Peyrepertuse and the castle of Foix. With our “Cultural week” we offer you a way to get to know the history and fate of the Cathares.

It is fascinating to discover the history of faithful Christians, persecuted and burned by the inquisition tribunals in the 13th and 14th century (see our cultural week).

The medieval city of Mirepoix is a very nice place to visit. The church arched roof of France. The entrance of the city is beautiful, with it's houses leaning on wooden pillars. The medieval city of Carcassonne is also worth to visit.

The caves of Niaux, Lombrive and le Mas d'Azil are fascinating. In some of them you will find prehistorically drawings. The Labouiche underground river, the Prehistoric Art Park, Museum of Arts and Trades are more examples of discovery of lost worlds. Do not forget to visit the heart of Toulouse, and Cité de l'Espace (Space City).
